The Four Blessings Collection
The inspiration for The Four Blessings Collection comes from the timeless wisdom of Feng Shui and enduring Eastern symbols of good fortune.
We chose four characters—顺 (Flow), 财 (Prosperity), 喜 (Bliss), and 楽 (Uplift)—that represent the foundational pillars of a fulfilled life. They are powerful intentions, calligraphy imbued with energy.
- 顺 (shùn) - Flow: Found in ancient architectural lattices (windows and gates) to guide the flow of Qi into the home, ensuring a life of harmony and "smooth sailing" (一帆风顺).
- 财 (cái) - Prosperity: Historically inscribed on amulets, this symbol was not just for material wealth, but to cultivate a calm, abundant soul—the state from which all true prosperity flows.
- 喜 (xǐ) - Bliss: The root of the famous "Double Happiness" (双喜) symbol for weddings. It's a powerful symbol for all joyful events, seen in traditional red paper cuttings (剪纸) to usher in happiness.
- 楽 (lè) - Uplift: This character holds a duality: "pleasure" (lè) and "music" (yuè). Music was seen as a way to cultivate a resilient spirit, representing the power of harmony to uplift the soul.
